Crystals and Stones

A lot of workers diss the use of crystals and stones as “New Age” but stones are mentioned by name in the old testament and have been used long before the common era for metaphysical purposes. Stones are natural artifacts, they come out of the ground same as herbs and roots and they have a spirit the same as herbs and roots do.
My own personal use of stones is mainly for drawing things to me and for protective purposes.  I do have a great many stones that I keep around my home because I am drawn to their color or sparkle.  I wear a lot of natural stone jewelry for the same reasons, either because I love the look of the stone or it serves a purpose.  Amethyst is one of my favorite all purpose stones.  It is a great protector and also a great spiritual assistant.  It is great to use for safe travel and you should touch it as often as possible when wearing or carrying it.    Quartz is another great multi-purpose stone, it cleanses, draws, repels, basically it’s like salt,it does what you tell it to!  Stones, like pendulums, must be programmed for optimum use, unless you pick up a rock or specimen that tells you immediately what its purpose is.  Found stones are more likely to have their own purpose, such as rocks you might find strolling on the beach or walking on a country road.  These will generally call out to you, loudly, because their appearance isn’t anything out of the ordinary.  Walk along the shore minding your own business and suddenly you’ll look down and there’ll be a small rock saying pick me up, I’ll help keep you safe.  Into your pocket it goes.  Most likely it will be very smooth and make you feel calm when you hold it.
Stones used for drawing purposes are magnetic and the most famous of these is the lodestone.  However, the magnetite is a great and much over-looked stone.  Green in color and sometimes found with tiny pyramid shaped smooth areas, this stone is quite powerful for money drawing purposes.  Again, these stones need to be programmed, traditionally “baptized” and told their purpose before they can be set to work for you.
Stones can also be used to draw things out of you.  Agate is great for this.  There are many forms of agate and each has its own specialty.  Go by the color to guide you for its purpose.  If you’re drawing out toxins, use a brown or yellowish agate.  Talk to the stones.  Like every other tool available to the spiritual worker, you’ve got to establish a relationship with it, ask permission and understand the virtues and limits.  Each stone has it’s own spirit, get to know it and it will become quite valuable to you, may even save your life.
